Our Experience with O General Air Conditioners
O General ACs are known for strong cooling even in high outdoor temperatures. Their outdoor units and inverter electronics need careful handling, which our technicians are used to.
What We Do for O General ACs in Dalmau
Here is what we can take care of during a visit:
- Regular service and jet wash: foam or high-pressure water cleaning of the indoor coil, filters, blower and drain tray, along with a wash of the outdoor condenser.
- Annual maintenance plans: scheduled service visits through the year for homes and offices with one or more O General ACs.
- Sensor and thermostat faults: if your AC stops cooling before the room is cool, a faulty sensor is often the reason.
- Compressor diagnosis: testing of windings, starting components and running current before any compressor is declared faulty.
- Water leakage fix: we clear the drain line and check why water is backing up, whether it is dirt, slope or a frozen coil.
- Gas refilling with leak repair: pressure testing, leak sealing and a measured refrigerant charge, so the cooling lasts and the gas does not run out again in weeks.
- Copper piping and drain work: proper flaring, brazing and insulation so there are no leaks or sweating pipes later.
- Inverter AC repair: diagnosis of inverter boards, sensors and variable-speed compressors using the model's error codes.
- AC shifting within Dalmau: careful gas recovery, uninstallation, transport-ready packing and reinstallation at your new address.

O General AC Faults We Repair Regularly
These are the complaints we attend most often in Dalmau:
- Error code or blinking lights: the unit's self-diagnosis pointing to a sensor, board or communication fault.
- Ice forming on pipes or coil: low gas, restricted airflow or a faulty sensor.
- AC turning off by itself: sensor faults, voltage issues or overheating protection kicking in.
- AC tripping the MCB: an electrical fault, short circuit or a compressor drawing too much current.
- Bad smell from the vents: a musty smell is a clear sign the indoor unit needs deep cleaning.
- Remote not working: the AC stops responding to commands even with fresh batteries.
AC Care Tips from Our Technicians
- Keep the outdoor unit in a shaded, open spot with space for air to flow.
- Use a suitable stabilizer if your area sees frequent voltage fluctuations.
- Switch off the AC from the remote before turning off the mains supply.
- Set the temperature around 24°C; it cools comfortably and saves power.
- Clean or rinse the indoor filters every two weeks during heavy use.
Keeping Your AC Healthy in Dalmau
In Dalmau, long summers with temperatures that often cross 40°C mean ACs run for many hours a day. Dust from roads and dry winds settles on the outdoor coil, and voltage fluctuations are common in many areas. We recommend a service before peak summer and a good stabilizer for every O General AC.
